Banana mask – for combination or sensitive skin
You will need:
1 x medium-sized banana (colour depending on your skin type, see notes below)
1 x blender
1 x teaspoon of water (if necessary)
This is a great way to use up bananas that are starting to go brown. A completely yellow banana is going to be gentler on the skin (so it’s best for normal/dry combination skin), but as the banana gets browner, it seems to work better for combination skin that has acne. Banana masques both cleanse and moisturize the skin.
Use one medium-sized banana, blending it until you have a smooth paste. If necessary, add a tablespoon of water, slowly, whilst blending, to get a nice paste.
As for the leftovers – anyone for banana cake?
Bananas contain nutrients that will also help reduce redness and inflammation, great for acne prone skin.
